We're not sure what the motif is here, but we don't care, because it's one of our favorite places to hang in Seattle. It's what we imagine a goth bar to look like in Portugal. Portugoth if you will. There's always a good mix of people and the music is usually at the right level to hear yourself speak, and the people you're with for that matter. A good upscale hang without being pretentious in the fun grit and grime of Cap Hill. Hours: Daily 5pm-2am

The mounted boar watching over you is at once comforting and disconcerting. The very best of the 70's leisure class has made it's way to this comfy little Belltown gathering place. It's Dean Martin meets JR Ewing meets 1974 upper-crust Connecticut. Yup, our idea of a boozy good time too. Take advantage of the $3 well drinks from 5 to 8. Spend a couple hours enjoying classic cocktails on plush seating amongst a mix of suits and the hipster chic.

Moroccan? Spanish? Indian? West African? We don't know, but we like it! Once you settle in to the comfy confines of the Capitol Club you won't want to leave. It's casual enough to make you feel at home, well, to make a genie feel at home, but it's swank enough to make it feel like a special night out. There are imtimate spots to huddle in close, or more open opportunities to mingle. On the right night, the balcony seating is the place to be. The bar is spectacular and you can fill your belly with all kinds of tasty meats and cheeses.

Who says Seattle doesn't have beautiful people? Plenty of them gather at See Sound, which places an emphasis on just that - the sights and sounds. Not just with the attractive patrons, but through a multimedia experience designed to put you in the right mood for a great night out. Located in hippitty hip Belltown, it feels like your living room...If you're a record industry mogul who happens to keep a posh second apartment in Belltown. The food is better than average, but you'll mostly be feasting on the eye-candy. Wait, that was cheesy, scratch that last part. Open Mon-Sat 4pm-2am; Sun 1pm-4pm
