It seems that seafood restaurants in Portland have been around a very long time. The restaurant is decked out in a seafaring motif. Everyone comes here for the oysters which are fresh. You can also get your parking stub partially refund if you bring your ticket with you. Hours: Sun - Thurs 11am - 9pm Fri - Sat 11am - 10pm

Reknown for the seafood and sushi, Bay 13's interior is made of wood paneling and other modern design astectics is what I call neo-Portland. Although they try, unsuccessfully, to be a California type place, the food and drink is pretty good. Although on the expensive side. The outdoor patio is nice and comfortable with outdoor heaters and plenty of tables. Bar Menu Daily from 4pm Dinner Daily from 5pm

Open until 2am everynight, the Montage is a people watching mecca. Underneath the Morrison Bridge, Montage attracts all types of interesting characters and you will most likely be sitting next to them. There are no individual booths, just long tables so everyone sits together. The menu is strange and exciting including "Aligator Bites" and frog legs. From me to you, order an oyster shooter.

I should have paid more attention when my grandfather from LA came to town when I was 10 and wanted to go here. He was used to Malibu favorites like his local Wolfgang Puck restaurant. So when I look back and think about what he thought was a good restaurant and then wanted to go to Salty's, it's the real deal. Resting on the banks of the Columbia River, Salty's is the best seafood in Portland, although I agree the name of the establishment is a bit cliche for me.
