Located under the Burnside Bridge on the West Side of Portland in OldTown, The Saturday Market begins in March and goes through December, open on Saturdays and Sundays. The Market features local artists and craftsmen and their wares as well as great food of all ethnicities. Music is rampant throughout the marketplace and it's a great place to lose yourself for 4-5 hours on a weekend. Bring cash because no one really takes checks or credit. You will really enjoy the diversity of people wandering around the market, so sit down and enjoy the vibe. March-December 24th: Saturdays - 10am-5pm

Brand new shopping center just off I-5 outside of Lake Oswego with so many shopping options, food and a movie theater. Crate & Barrell, Cole Haan, Borders Books, Coach, Banana Republic, and Urban Outfitters are just a very few. Parking is easy.
Like I've mentioned several times, NW 23rd Avenue has about a mile of high-end, trendy shopping options. Mostly boutique stores and great food. Many people will go down around 11am, grab a cup of coffee, do a couple hours of shopping, grab a bite to eat and head back.

Just nearby to NW 23rd around 10-12th avenue, the more updated NW shopping and schmoozing district is much like 23rd, but less of a boutique feel and more commerical vibe. Get a bite to eat at Oba and go to a antique shop to find a sofa or to REI and shop around.
