Get over your self-conciousness in this dim lit spot that will hide any blemish. This is located in the historic part of Philadelphia.

Bring your hipster friend, bring your mom, bring your hipster friend’s mom… anyone and everyone is made to feel cozy at this much-loved South Philly breakfast joint. True, you’ll probably have to wait for a table on the weekends, but it’s worth it. The outdoor patio serves as a waiting room of sorts, where you can read the paper, chat it up with friends, or just sleep off your hangover. Oh, and if you have a hankerin’ for a little hair of the dog, you’re SOL – Morning Glory doesn’t serve alcohol. But with the egg-cellent (oh yes we did!) frittatas, you should be good to go with just a cup of joe.

So here’s the thing about Tacconelli’s: Their pizza is so incredible you have to call ahead just to reserve your dough – because once they run out for the day, you’re SOL. Speaking of dough, Tac’s is a cash-only joint located off the beaten path in Fishtown. It’s also a BYOB, so feel free to roll up with a cooler of beer in tow. (We do!) Inside, the place isn’t much to write home about, so you know it really IS all about the food – like the white pizza which we make you buckle at the knees and thank the Lord and Baby Jesus Himself for the perfection that is Tacconelli’s.

If we’re going to cut to the chase, Public House is probably the sexiest singles scene in Philly. It’s absolutely crawling with incredibly attractive guys and girls. (This is just speculation, but we’re pretty sure they’ve swapped their ‘no jeans’ policy at the door for a ‘good genes’ guideline.) You’ll wait in line for upwards of an hour to get in, but if we take a ‘glass half-full mentality,’ there’s a cache of beautiful people waiting right there with you. So cheers!

In July 2005, GQ named the Rouge Burger its number four burger in America. We’re gonna one-up the men’s mag and say Rouge has the best damn burger anywhere, EVER. OK, maybe that’s a bit ostentatious, but it’s really freakin’ good, people. Topped with gruyere and caramelized onions, the Rouge burger epitomizes ground beef heaven. We should also mention Rouge has an impressive French-Asian menu, and serves up perfectly mixed cocktails. It’s def. a place we’d recommend for some mixing and mingling of your own.

Depending on how many of the wonderful beers from their wide selection you drink, you may just “nod” off right at the bar. Try to keep your cool though and enjoy the brewskies at this Philly favorite. Featuring many award-winning beers this drinking spot is not to be missed. Open Monday – Saturday from 11:30am – 2:00am and on Sundays they have Quizzo beginning at 8:30pm.

Pearl is one of Philadelphia’s newest hotspots. Designed by DAS Architects, one of the nation’s leading design firms, this club brings a new sense of style to the city of Brotherly Love, featuring booths lined with strands of pearls and an edgy menu of Asian-fusion cuisine. The first floor has lighting bordering the room that is constantly changing colors, making for a very sleek and sexy scene. And for those of you looking to pull out some moves the upstairs floor is guaranteed to have the music going strong at any hour.

McGillin's is Philadelphia's best old Irish pub with its modern fixings and laid back atmosphere. From eclectic Karaoke nights to live entertainment, McGillin's is where Philly comes to play from the old to the new.

This is Stephen Starr’s latest and greatest creation. The restaurant just opened in July 2008 and instantly became a happy hour hot-spot. Even though Parc has room for 250 people to “park” themselves post-work, don’t be to slow in getting there because this is prime real estate and it goes quickly. With lots of outdoor seating overlooking the posh Rittenhouse Square, it is one of our new favorites. Parc is located right next to another one of the places we crave, Rouge, and the two have instantly become quite the power pair drawing more people to this part of the city than ever before.

Huh? Why would I get a ‘steak at a place called “John’s Roast Pork?” Because we told you to, that’s why. Ok, so the roast pork sandwiches are really, really good. But we’re talking about steaks here, and John knows steak too. Located across the street from Snyder plaza deep in South Philly, this place sets itself apart with perfect seeded rolls from Carangi’s and a lack of the attitude you’ll find behind the counter at other steak haunts. The sharp provolone is a must (no wiz please) and here’s the real kicker: these bad boys are made to order. Like Joey Russo said, “woah!”

World Café Live sets the gold standard for live music in Philly. This multi-level venue features a broad range of acts and is where lots of well-known artists first started performing. There are several stages, but each has a smaller setting and makes the shows a more intimate experience. There is also a restaurant on the first level so come early and grab some grub before the show. Home to the independent radio station WXPN, World Café defiantly has a unique vibe and is always serving up someone new, making it a place we come back to again and again.

TRIA is one of Philly’s premiere wine bar destinations (in fact there are two of them) with a list of vinos from around the world that will blow your mind. Our favorite is the one located on 18th street because it is in the heart of Center City and near all the action. Whether you like reds, whites or even a little bubbly, Tria offers something to suite every palate. Tria also has a fantastic selection of cheeses and beers and is always changing its selection and menu. The staff is also really knowledgeable so if you are not an expert they can give you a good recommendation and a little education on what you are drinking too.

And you thought New York was the fashion capital of the country… Ok well maybe it is, but Adresse at least allows Philly to offer a taste of what all those NYC fashionistas live and breathe. This boutique is absolutely one of our favorites and is perhaps one of the best boutique shopping destinations in the city. Spend some time here (and some dollars) and leave strutting your stuff in serious style.

Jose Garces brings genuine Spanish tapas to the shores of Philadelphia. Amada offers a huge selection of little bites using simple and wonderful ingredients. This menu will most certainly send your taste buds into fantastical bliss. Amada is a must visit. Sneaky recommends the lamb chop. And remember, it’s healthy to indulge every once in a while. It is also important to note that Jose Garces very recently won the Food Network’s Iron Chef America. That should help get you there.
