This place is tough to beat when the weather cooperates. A good crowd congregates here after the salt mines to cut loose. It's easy to miss, but just walk down 79th street to the West Side Highway, look for a staircase and head down. The smell of The Hud won't encroach on your enjoyment of their tasty burgers. The views more than make up for the smell and you'll only see a few syringes floating about. Makes for a damn fine afternoon and reminds you why you live in this town. M-F $2 off any drink from 4-7.

It's important to get a little culture now and then, and it certainly helps if alcohol is served while you're doing it. The Roof Garden on top of the Met is a well-kept secret, for good reason. It attracts cool, interesting folks who don't want their little find spoiled. But you wouldn't do that. It's not a bar, but getting drinks isn't a problem. The atmosphere creates a perfect vibe to mingle, especially for the unattached. Brushing up on your art knowledge before you head over isn't a bad idea. Tue-Sat, 4:30pm-midnight, weather permitting

A bunch of bottles and a gaggle of drafts, this raucous good time always delivers. The front room is tailor-made for post-college rowdiness and the back room lends itself more to boozy conversation. A good option if you're looking to shut off the outside world and get loose. They've got a nice, long half-priced happy hour to grease the wheels. We're still trying to figure out what exactly his dilemma is, though. Talk to us, Jake, we're here to help. Open Mon 12am-4am, 5pm-4am; Tue-Fri 5pm-4am; Sun 1pm-12am.

NOTE: Our local Sneaky Sunday representative is working on developing original commentary to support this recommendation. It should be live very soon. Thank you for your patience and please enjoy this recommendation all the same.

Fusion's sorta become the new "F-word", but this working mix of Latin and Asian seems to work in an original way. They've got a really good late night menu and a very nice bar with the three M's covered - Martinis, Margaritas and Mojitos. The best word to describe this place besides, well, "Citrus" is "Refreshing." Seafood is done in new and fun ways, but they always keeps things nice and simple. The Pomegranate - Ancho Chile Glaze Salmon is great.
