Next time your favorite Vegetarian or Vegan friend rolls to town, this is the place to take him or her. Inexpensive and generous portions of food that are so far from the normal (and boring) veggie fare, even the carnivores will leave happy and full. Our favorite is the Veggie pot pie which comes in a wrap but includes those little chunks of crust that melt in your mouth. The Vegan desserts are better than they sound as well, the red velvet cupcakes is a winner.

Naidre's sits on a sleepy corner on Henry St, in Cobble Hill. The café offers a large menu of unique sandwiches, especially for those vegetarians and health conscious out there, as well as tasty muffins, coffee and teas. Naidre's is one of the few places in this neighborhood with ample seating, which is a nice perk if you want a place to meet up with friends.

Adding to the growing collection of new and notable restaurants in the Columbia Waterfront District, this French/African restaurant is distinctive in it's menu. The portions and taste pairing are generous without being overdone, and the prices are very reasonable with the exception of the wine list, which is a little on the high side for this area of town. Don't miss the great garden when the weather is worthy of it.
