True to its name, Brooklyn Fish Camp abounds with tasty seafood options in the quaint neighborhood of Park Slope. Their exposed brick walls and spacious back patio make this 'Camp' inviting for groups large and small. The menu changes often, with frequent new fish of the day specials and we find all to be good. The oysters are a particular favorite, as they come out with a variety of dipping sauces to test your palate. Open Daily 12pm-3pm, 6pm-11pm

Hooray for Jack the Horse! Finally a new and quality restaurant opens in the Heights, which has been stuck with short-lived mediocre restaurants for years now with few exceptions. Jack the Horse is hard to find, which is a plus because it means it's not overrun by tourists who have just stumbled over the Brooklyn Bridge and are looking for food and drink. The menu is short but sweet and the wine list is great, especially by the glass. The service and atmosphere is mellow yet lively- just perfect for this neck of the woods.

The space seems to draw the young adult scene who are looking to meet up with friends in a festive environment where you can actually carry on a conversation. Fun bar food can be ordered to go with their more than decent wine list, making this the perfect stop on your way home from Manhattan and before retiring to your apartment for the night.
