If you can find your way deep into the heart of Carroll Gardens, you will be pleasantly surprised with this hopping and deserved crowded Italian Tapas-type restaurant. Frankie's attracts people from all Boroughs for a variety of reasons. The food is fresh and delicious, there is an enormous backyard to enjoy when the weather is good, and there is a private 'barn' off the backyard that serves as a rental room and/or extra seating. Wine can be bought by the carafe here, which is a nice option if a whole bottle seems too daunting.

Noodle is a bit of a insider's secret in Brooklyn Heights. Nestled down at the end of Henry St. and near the Brooklyn Bridge, Noodle has no sign outside bearing it's name. Plan on telling friends you'll meet them outside if they have never been before, and plan on bringing cash since this is a cash-only spot. The Italian food is amazing, and not just the pasta dishes. The fish and meat specials are often sold out later in the night because of their popularity and their salads up front are unique and delicious. Our favorites are the fresh mozzarella and argula salad or calamari up front and the eggplant and ricotta pasta dish for an entree.

Be prepared to wait for a table at this small but friendly Northern Italian restaurant. The candle-lit ambience is a pleasure to wait in, and you can pass the time sipping wine around the corner in their new wine bar. The food changes so often that we don't really have any favorite dishes, though so far we have liked everything we have tried!
