Located in the heart of the East side, good times are had by all at Jo-Cats. By far the best place to have a Sunday funday. Drinks are always flowing and this family ran bar will not let you down. Drinks are cheap and they don't lack on content.

Although they're not very close to the border, they sure know how to make some amazing Margaritas! You will not be disappointed by the food either. Their strawberry margaritas are to die for and some would argue this is the best Mexican food in Milwaukee.

Mocha brings a much needed caffeine buzz to downtown Milwaukee. If there's one thing the city lacks, it is places to go after the bars are closed or during the wee hours of the morning before the sun has risen. The problem stands out downtown, where too many locations are shuttered by 7PM. If everything goes as planned, Mocha will be a remedy to the problem, serving coffee, baked goods and sandwiches to hungry Milwaukeeans until 2AM. Mocha as one of the few places in the city where you can enjoy a good cup of coffee late. Mocha is in a prime downtown location. The bistro is Johnny Vassallo's take on the coffee shop. Vassallo is responsible for many of the other restaurants on that block including Mo's and Mo's Cucina. Come to Mocha to chat with a friend or work on a project. Hours: Open Mon 12am-2am, 6am-2am; Tue-Sat 6am-2am; Sun 6am-12am

Since opening in January 2004, Tangerine has gained a reputation as one of the places to see and be seen among Milwaukee's fashionistas and trendsetters. Tangerine lives up to its name, with an interior decked out in resplendent orange glow. The walls are orange, the chairs are orange, the bar itself, even the bathrooms are orange. Tangerine offers a wide selection of wine, and cocktails to enjoy while chatting with friends on either of the bar's two floors. House music pumps through the club, but lacking an actual dance floor. Tangerine is within walking distance of several other new Milwaukee upscale joints.

There's no refuting that the swingin' spirits of Frank, Dean and Sammy are hanging around this swanky and hip piano joint nestled in the fashionable Third Ward district. Owned by Giovanni (yes, the very same who owns the popular restaurant by the same name) and Giuseppe Safina, Centanni features live music on most nights and attracts a mix of tipsy North Shore elite and downtown socialites. Centanni features a wine list with vino by the glass and bottle, as well as a moderate selection of grappa, scotch, martinis and beer. Warm and sophisticated with its sand-colored walls, twinkling tea light candles and art-deco prints, the club is divided into two distinctive sections adjoined by a corridor lined with tall cocktail tables. Enjoy a lively conversation with friends on one of the vintage furniture in the foyer or take a twirl on the parquet dance floor in front of the baby grand piano.

Kopps definately has a shot of having the best burgers in the world. Once you've had the most amazing burger of your life you top it off with their amazing custard. You may not need to eat for the rest of the week but this is what a burger is all about. Big, juicy and messy as ever. A little bit of heaven. Hours: Open Mon-Thu,Sun 10:30am-11pm; Fri-Sat 10:30am-11:30pm

After work, before a show, following dinner –This is what they mean when they say slip into something a little more comfortable. Blu, The Pfister’s gem in the sky, is home to classic cocktails, sassy martinis, World-class wines and precious views. Smooth jazz and a swanky club feel create the ideal ambiance for you to sit back, relax and unwind.

This spy-themed restaurant/bar may have tourist written all over it, but at least the covert operations don't exist just to sell T-shirts. The people behind Safe House are really into their espionage mission -- holding James Bond screenings, taking pictures of themselves with the Safe House briefcase in locations all over the world, and talking in spy lingo. It's the rarest of places, a theme restaurant worth its salt. It certainly serves any cocktails a self-respecting secret agent would order -- just don't try the "shaken, not stirred" line. With a history of celebrity sightings and a fun atmosphere, this is the place for any aspiring 007.

Set dead center in the heart of Milwaukee's hottest clubbing district, Kenadee's shares street space with uber bastions Three and Tangerine. Sporting a neo-urban ski lodge chic theme, Kenadee's is probably the only place in the city where you can sip a martini or sample the kitchen's haute cuisine while simultaneously taking in the ultra mod incandescence of the forefront "green room" all while sitting right underneath a light fixure made of antlers. Hours: Open Mon-Thu 5pm-2am; Fri-Sat 5pm-2:30am

Though the BBC Bar & Grill will probably never kick its reputation as a college pickup joint, the BBC has won many regulars who come from far beyond the East Side. The large, two-story tavern can actually be a great place to catch a live concert (second floor only), grab a greasy burger and fries, drink a beer (or 20, as many apparently do), watch a sports event or play a game of billiards. Hours: Open Mon 12am-2am, 11am-2am; Tue-Sat 11am-2am; Sun 11am-12am

The Good life is a Caribbean bar and restaurant. Nothing but good vibes, good drinks, and good food. The trendy architecture and lighting set the mood.
