It’s the ultimate in gourmet and fresh organic vegan food - nutritious and heart-healthy. For starters, go for the No-Cheez appetizer, which is a dynamic combo plate of guacamole, carrot salsa, black bean dip and tofu sour cream served with blue and yellow corn chips. When it comes to the main entrees, you’ll love the hearty meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy. Or try a delicious Reuben or a burger. You won’t even miss the meat! Hours: Mon-Sun 11:30am-10pm

This celeb hot spot is known for its fresh, healthy vegetarian cuisine. You may have to wait for a table, but you can catch up on the news from the one of the hanging TV screens or check your e-mail on the house computer. You’ll dine amongst health-conscious actors and wannabes on veggie burgers and sesame flatbread with eggplant chutney. The fresh juice is a must. Note that there is also a location in Santa Monica, too. Hours: Mon-Thu 8am-9pm; Fri 8am-10pm; Sat 9am-10pm; Sun 9am-9pm

A Votre Sante means “To Your Health.” And that’s exactly what this trendy café in Brentwood lives up to. It’s a natural food restaurant with a variety of vegan and vegetarian entrees, but its not entirely vegetarian. They’ve got a little bit of American, Mexican, Mediterranean and Asian on the menu and serve house specials such as the falafel platter or spinach enchiladas. We love the blue corn pancakes for brunch. Here’s to good health! Hours: Mon-Fri 11am-10pm; Sat 9am-10pm; Sun 9am-9pm

Experience raw beauty with a funky vibe at this SanMo café. Chef and raw food expert Juliano Brotman concocts innovative raw food creations and unique presentations of pizzas, tacos and sandwiches (to name a few). It’s truly an art form. Standouts include the Raw Nirvana, lasagna, and Matsutaki mushroom tostada. You do have to pay to play here with entrees costing between $20 and $30. But you can thank us later for that afterglow from eating raw. Hours: Mon-Sun 11am-11pm

Whether raw food is your thing, or if you have never tried it and have always wanted to, Leaf Cuisine is a great choice. The building and interior’s green and orange freshness inspire healthy eating (like watching the Olympics while on the treadmill at the gym). If you are leery of the raw idea, rest assured you can always play it safe with guacamole and flax seeds chips, or any variety of salad. For the more adventurous, try the mock salmon nori roll. The roll does have a "salmon" vibe due the carrots lending a sweetness like salmon, tricking the palate. They also have a number of delicious desserts you can feel good about enjoying. The Oraweo pudding, described as a “gooey mess of coconut cream, cacao nibs and chocolate sauce” was not kidding, and will leave you feeling satisfied and sexy. Hours: Mon-Sat 8am-9pm, Sun 10am-9pm
