The Getty might just be the single greatest thing that Los Angeles rich folks did with their money. Totally free and open to the public, the Getty houses a rotating slew of world-class art exhibits and offers some of the most amazing views of the city. The best part? The tram ride from the parking structure up to the museum that sits atop the best real estate in the state of Cali. Although parking is $8, there is a cheap café where you can grab some lunch and relax. Whether you’re into art, or just into sunshine amidst modern architecture, you will find yourself spending Saturday afternoons at the Getty, time and time again. Hours: Tue-Thu, Sun 10am-6pm, Fri-Sat 10am-9pm.
