A daytime activity equally anticipated by both k9s and their owners, Runyon Canyon is the go-to spot for hiking in the sunshine and enjoying breathtaking views. The canyon expands from just north of Franklin Blvd all the way to Mulholland Dr, with several entrances placed at Fuller St., Vista St. and Mulholland. This public park is open from dusk until dawn every day for residents and visitors to walk the trails or join one of the numerous fitness classes held at the park. First timers may want to bring a veteran, as the entrances can sometimes be a bit hard to find. Parking on a side street near the Fuller entrance is easier than finding a spot on the always-tricky Mulholland, and don’t forget to bring water for you and your dog – there aren’t any fountains once you reach Cloud’s Rest, the peak resting point.
