This exhibit will feature a broad sampling of specimens and their stories from the museum extensive paleontology collection, including dinosaur bones and fossil.

This is a full-scale American museum survey of the work of Kara Walker. Set in the American South before the Civil War, Walker’s compositions play off stereotypes to portray, often grotesquely, life on the plantation. The exhibit features works ranging from Walker’s signature black cut-paper silhouettes to film animations to more than one hundred works on paper.

The Impressionist movement fostered breathtakingly original pictorial idioms that ushered in the progressive art of the 20th century. This exhibit presents works that have come to define the Impressionist achievement. It features masterpieces of painting by the world’s most beloved artists, including Édouard Manet, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh, and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

This exhibition presents a group of exceptional objects that commemorate the most profound moments of Renaissance life-betrothal, marriage, and the birth of a child-as well as more informal bonds of love. Included in the exhibit are outstanding ceramics, glassware, jewelry, prints and drawings.

This exhibit will feature nine original political cartoons by National Woman's Party cartoonist, Nina Allender. These examples of political art will provide a unique opportunity to experience Nina Allender's often overlooked impact on women's suffrage movement.

This exhibition comprises of three series including a site specific installation and presents a body of new works by renowned Dallas artist Frank Frazier.

This display showcases silent moving images of President John F. Kennedy, from his 1960 presidential campaign through his funeral on November 25, 1963. The exhibit is highlighted by eleven amateur films presented in their entirety and vividly demonstrates the importance of film preservation.

This is an exhibit of works by David Keens who currently heads the Glass Program at The University of Texas at Arlington. He has been awarded the University's highest Award for Distingushed Record of Creative Activity. He has been designated the Texas State Artist for 2007 by the Texas Commission of the Arts and the Texas State Legislature.

This is an exhibition of the MFA candidates' collective work. Three areas of study, Intermedia (expanded studio), Film/Video and Glass, will be represented.
