By popular vote, the local residents named the club the Isotopes, (Florida Marlins Triple A affiliate), when the renovated stadium opened in 2003. (“The Simpson’s” t.v. show referenced Albuquerque and a fictional team, the Isotopes, in an old episode) The name kind of fits though due to all the science labs around, Los Alamos, Sandia, the WIPP and home to the first nuclear test sight, the Trinity. So if it’s good old fashioned baseball you’re looking for, this is the bomb! With upgraded seating and concessions along with a picnic area alongside the outfield, it’s a great spot to enjoy America’s favorite pastime! Check the website for particulars.
